With its rhyming prose, this is a sweet story of a boy talking to his mother about the importance of wearing masks to protect the people around you... When I finished reading the story with our 9 year old, we talked about why we wear masks and she said: “I want to wear a mask always so life can go back to how it used to be. I want to go back to school and hug Mimi & Poppy (her grandparents)and see my friends and go to a restaurant.” The thing is... if we all could get on board and wear masks, we will be able to go back to life as we once new it sooner than later. Wouldn’t that be so nice and worth the small inconvenience of wearing a mask?

The world has changed. Thankfully, here is a teacher that isn't standing still and is reaching out to young kids to help ease them through a difficult and dramatic change. Fun verses and drawings! We may look back on this time historically and see why a book like this came to be. And thankfully it's here! - Ratso Ruck

This is a perfect book for families and teachers to use to emphasize the importance of wearing a mask. The story is simple but not preachy. The illustrations are charming. I think it might make a great back to school lesson either remotely or in person.
