Take a moment to notice that all the characters in the book are wearing their masks correctly.- covering both the mouth and nose. If you leave your nose exposed, it’s like you are not wearing a mask at all.

FEEL the heat!

Try this hands-on experiment with your child to prove the importance of wearing a mask properly.

Trial 1: Wear your mask properly, covering your nose and mouth. Hold your hand very close to your face.

Take three deep breaths in and out. What do you feel?

Trial 2: Wear your mask covering only your mouth. Hold your hand very close to your face.

Take three deep breaths in and out. What do you feel?

Trial 3: Wear your mask on your chin. Hold your hand very close to your face.

Take three breaths in and out. What do you feel?

SEE the drops!

If you want your child to see the evidence, repeat the trials while holding a mirror in front of his/her face.

You will be able to see droplets (condensation) from your breath collect on the mirror.
